An open seat in a public lobby is available to anyone, so a private room is the better choice when you have particular friends in mind. Durak Play (https://durak-play.ru/en) runs in a browser and lets friends join as guests. You can arrange a game without asking everyone to create an account first.
Choose the game before sending invitations
For a first session with one friend, a two-player Classic table with a 36-card deck is a straightforward starting point. Classic supports two to six players. If four people want to play in pairs, choose Team mode, which requires exactly four seats. Transfer is a separate mode for groups that want the option to pass an opening attack to the next player.
The room settings also let you choose a 24-, 36-, or 52-card deck. Agree on the mode and deck together so nobody discovers a different ruleset after the deal.
Create the room and share its address
Open the room creation controls, choose your settings, and set the room type to Private. Add a password. Once the room opens, copy its browser address and send that address and the password to your friends.
Use the address of the room you have just created. A link to the main lobby will not take someone to your specific table. The room address contains its ID, which is what identifies the right game.
Friends open the link, enter the password, and take an available seat. Guest access is enough to join. For a one-on-one game, set two seats; for a Team match, send the invitation to three friends. When everyone is seated, ready up and wait for the deal.
Fix joining problems before starting
If someone cannot get in, compare the link with the address shown in the host's browser. Check that the room ID is still there, then enter the password again without extra spaces. A full table cannot accept another player. The private room guide (https://durak-play.ru/en/private) explains this joining flow.
You can keep the same room after a match. Players stay at the table, ready up again, and play another hand without a fresh round of invitations. If you want to practise before meeting the group, public tables can also fill available seats with bots. Use a private room when the seats should be reserved for your invited players.
